Detica Electronic Systems Group is looking for a Cyber Security Engineering Business Manager to expand our design teams.

Detica’s Electronic Systems Group provides the capability to design, build, install, and support world-leading technology. Examples of products include gigabit speed packet processing platforms such as custom switches and routers; software radio systems implementing advanced signal processing techniques; and high speed floating point computation engines.
Our customers include a variety of government departments and defence, telecommunications and financial services companies, predominantly in the UK and US.
Detica’s Electronic Systems Group is looking for a Cybersecurity Solutions Business Manager to accelerate the growth of our range of products and services into this rapidly expanding market. Detica is a leading company in Cybersecurity already working with governments and tier 1 telecommunications service providers in the UK and overseas. We provide both a range of consulting engineering services and solutions built on our own IPR, including our StreamShield® technology. With the backing of our parent, BAE Systems, Cybersecurity is receiving significant additional internal investment to build future capability rapidly.
The Cybersecurity Solutions Business Manager will directly lead the Electronic Systems Group staff and business within this strategic initiative, refining go-to-market plans and accelerating the delivery of new business. The successful candidate will also liaise with the wider Information Assurance professionals throughout the company to build compelling propositions combining Detica’s core strengths in both equipment and services.
• Managing all aspects of a growing multi-million pound business area selling internationally to deliver on order intake, revenue and profit targets
• Developing 5 year strategies and 1 year execution plans
• Staff management and development
• Pre- and post-sales client engagement
• New proposition development
• R & D investment planning and business case development
The candidate should exhibit most, if not all, of the following characteristics:
• Ability to present to and operate with senior management (e.g. CTO, CEO)
• Ability to command the respect of and lead a high performance technical team
• Ability to shape and develop new propositions
• Commercially astute
• Demonstrable entrepreneurial / innovation skills
• Technical and commercial experience preferably in relation to IP data telecommunications equipment and solutions
• Bid and proposal generation
You need to be able to achieve the highest level of security clearance for this role
Guildford with frequent travel between Detica and client sites.
